Creating the Bloom Room at Hopes & Beams

Where Creativity Grows

Over the summer, our team at Show Business Interiors had the opportunity to support Crewe-based charity Hopes & Beams by helping transform one of its rooms into a practical, welcoming space for the local community.

Hopes & Beams provides inclusive activities and opportunities for children, young people and adults with additional needs. They needed a multifunctional room that could adapt to the wide variety of groups and projects taking place there.

A space designed to do more

The brief was to create a safe and inspiring environment that could accommodate everything from food technology sessions and arts and crafts to sewing, choir groups and other community activities.

Our team redesigned and redecorated the room with flexibility at its heart, making better use of the available space while ensuring it remained welcoming and easy to use.

At the centre of the design is a bespoke built-in unit, designed and built by our team to provide plenty of practical storage through sliding cabinets. We also incorporated a new sink area, complete with the required plumbing, alongside a dedicated space for a sewing machine.

A comfortable seating area completes the room, providing somewhere for groups to gather, work together or simply spend time.

Where creativity grows

With the transformation still underway, the space now has a name: ‘The Bloom Room’ – where creativity grows.

More than simply redecorating a room, the project is about creating an environment that can support the many different people who use Hopes & Beams, while giving the charity greater flexibility in how the space can be used.

For our team, it’s a brilliant opportunity to put our design, workshop and installation expertise to use a little closer to home and create something with a lasting purpose within our local community.

Keep your eyes peeled for the final reveal.
